In 2013 PCT received a Local Hero Award award from Communities Involved in Sustaining Agriculture for the following:
- Recognizing the importance of protecting farmland;
- Embracing creative approaches and forging strong collaborations;
- Demonstrating concern for working landscapes, farm profitability,affordable land access, and secure tenure for farmers; and,
- Engaging community members in protesting farmland and helping Pioneer Valley residents recognize the essential link between farmland protection and local food production.
